"Cloudscape Eden" is a lakeside restaurant interior created by WAY Studio for YiXing YU Restaurant on the shore of Dongjiu Lake in Yixing, China. Drawing from local bamboo forests, purple clay, pavilions, waterways, lakeshore scenery, and mountain-water imagery, the design translates Yixing's regional culture into an interior journey that can be walked through, occupied, and experienced while dining.

Guests enter from the underground parking level through a compressed cave-like threshold formed by suspended rock elements, then move into garden-like dining areas enclosed by plants and semi-private seating. The main private room uses stone forms, skylight, bead curtains, and mist-like installations to evoke mountain and cloud imagery. On the upper level, bamboo screens, stepped dining platforms, curved corridors, and lake-facing private rooms extend the journey toward Dongjiu Lake. Terrazzo, bamboo, stone, glass, bead curtains, and cloud-like ceiling installations create a miniature Yixing landscape where dining, local material memory, natural light, and lakeside views are brought together.
